Fig Tree Arrives

The tree for the new space at Hamilton District Christian High arrived.

I am so excited to have this tree in our space, a tree to represent creation–our connection to God’s good earth. We chose a fig tree from the sycamore family because there are a multitude of biblical references that fit beautifully with a Christian School. Of all of them, the idea I want us to focus on is this fig tree as a symbol of our flourishing community, a flourishing community that cultivates character through learning for a life of service to God.
