DESCRIPTION:April 9 @ 7:15 – Join us for a presentation of the award-winning film Screenagers.  \nHDCH invites you to join us for the film and for a post-film discussion with community members Hennie Schoon\, Dawn Berkelaar\, and Harry Blyleven (Tech Educator) along with HDCH students and staff. \nThis documentary by Dr. Delany Ruston has been screened for audiences across North America. According to the film website\, the filmmaker “takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life\, including her own\, to explore struggles over social media\, video games\, academics and internet addiction. \n \nThrough poignant\, and unexpectedly funny stories\, along with surprising insights from authors\, psychologists\, and brain scientists\, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance. \nJoin us\n7:15 pm: Welcome\, introduction and table talk\n7:30 pm: Screenagers screening\n8:40 pm: Coffee and table talk\n8:45 pm: A panel discussion\n9:30 pm: Resources and wrap up \n*Note that schedule may change. \n\nResources\nScreenagers offers lots of resources for educators\, students\, and families on navigating tech and social media. \nIn addition to links and print resources\, the filmmaker host Tech Talk Tuesdays\, an interactive forum on navigating in the digital age.
