Co op Information Night
January 31, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Did you know that Hamilton District Christian High students have had placements with dairy farms, police services, veterinary practices, esthetics businesses, hospitals, landscapers, Human Resource firms, IT companies, and more?
HDCH is continuing to develop our Co operative education program, which students can enrol in during Grade 11 and/or Grade 12. This program is designed for students with a broad variety of career pathways. Co op provides many opportunities for them to gain valuable training, skills and work experience —all while earning required high school credits. The range of cooperative education placements is expanding, and we want to be sure all students are aware of the options that they have available.
Come find out.
There will be a Parent/Student information meeting on Wednesday, January 31st at 7:30 pm in the HDCH Library. (Coffee/Tea and refreshments will be provided.) Learn more about the program from staff, and from the real stars of the evening – the panel of students who will share their Co op learning experiences.
All current Grade 10 and 11 students interested in pursuing a half day or full day placement in co operative education to apply for the 2018-2019 school year by February 2018. Some placements begin taking applications in the spring for September 2018.
If you have any questions, please contact Richard Van Egmond, Director of Co-op and Venture, at mailto:rvanegmond@hdch.org or 905.746.1437. We hope to see you at the information night on January 31–come and join in the conversation!
